ABOUT PATRICK LEACH
While attending William Mitchell College of Law, Patrick Leach began as a clerk to Judge Michael Talbot DeCourcy in Ramsey County District Court. In his final year, he became a student certified attorney for the St. Paul City Attorney's Office.
After graduation, he prosecuted cases as a trial attorney in Saint Paul. Then he shifted to private practice with Thomsen & Nybeck in Edina, handling cases in a wide range of areas: civil litigation, construction defects, family law and criminal defense. In 2001, he became Edina's municipal prosecutor, a role he has held for over 20 years.
In 2014, Patrick opened his own firm. Since then, he's represented clients in criminal and civil matters, family law cases, landlord-tenant disputes, and eviction actions. He's also a member of the Federal Public Defender's Office, handling conflict cases in the United States District Court.
Patrick's impressive career has given him a unique perspective. He knows how prosecutors think, how judges decide, and what it takes to win. That experience matters when your future is on the line.
